Newry Festival/Craft Fair thank You
The Newry Fall Festival and Craft Fair was held for the third year this past Oct. 27. Each year we have grown, and this year was no exception. We had more crafters than ever before, and we also raised more money than every before.
I would like to thank all those who helped in making this year a success. I would like to thank the Town of Newry for allowing us the use of the Bear River Grange Hall; Rocky Berry, who put up fliers all over the Bethel, Bryant Pond, Rumford, Mexico and Auburn areas; Carri Frechette at the Bethel Citizen for designing our newspaper ad; Nana Wight and Anna Schauffler for working the bake sale portion of our event; Brad Wight for the use of numerous items; Kurt Wight for helping with the set up and break down; and a big, big thank you to all who took the time to bake for our sale. We had a large number of people who baked items from cookies to pies and loaves of bread and homemade candies.
All proceeds of the bake sale we are donating to the Christmas for Families Foundation, which is a local charity that is based right here in Bethel. This year we are able to donate $225.
Thank you to all the crafters who came out and spent the day with us, and thank you to everyone who stopped by – we hope to see you all again next year.
