Andover

By the time you read this column, various and assorted election contests will be decided, barring any ties too close to call. Since so many have been tied up in this process, there hasn't been much news to report in Andover during the past pre-election week.

On Election Day, the traditional voting day supper was held at the First Congregational Church. This Hunter's Supper was chaired by Esau and Amber Cooper with much help from friends and church members. Those who wore hunter orange were eligible for the door prize drawing, which was a Hunter's Survival Kit donated by Pete's Hardware.

There will be a Christmas Sale at the First Congregational Church on December 8. Marsha Burns is the general chairman of this event. Crafters and others desiring table space should call her at 392-1894. Tables are $15 each or 2 for $20. Coffee and donuts will be provided when the sale opens at 8:30 a.m. There will also be baked goods, a Christmas table featuring decorations and greens, and a luncheon.

Next week, I'll be able to report on news from the snowmobile club and other organizations meeting this week.
