The nights have been getting cooler and there sure is a touch of fall in the air in the early mornings. Folks are still enjoying this beautiful summer.
Arlene Harrington along with her brother, Robert Remington and his wife Barbara, and her sister, Charmaine, had a really nice time at the Andover Olde Home Days - especially as her great-grandson, Gabe Coolidge, won the Pie Eating Contest in his age group. Nice going ,Gabe!
Nina Mollicone has her mother, Marilyn, her aunt, Carolyn Grant, and her cousin, Elsie Grant, visiting here for a week. Enjoy and have lots of fun together.
Here is some news from the Maine Black Flies Little League Travel Team. Currently they have 27 wins and 12 losses. Now they are in Copper Town, N.Y., since Aug. 13 through the 20th. Good Luck Team!
As a reminder, the New England Trapper's Weekend will be happening from Aug. 27 through 28. The local band "Soggy String" will be playing on Saturday night, headed up by Ron Mills. Do hope many of you will come and join the fun. There usually is lots of traffic, so, please,do drive carefully.
On Aug. 20 the Alder River Grange will have their meeting with the usual Potluck Supper at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
