Bettyann Hatings told me that her and Sonny went to the "Big E" in Springfield, Mass., to watch their granddaughter Jennifer Hastings and her horse, Kaya, compete in Dressage for four days. Jennifer received two ribbons by placing 4th and 6th in different events. The whole family was there to watch. Congratulations to Jennifer and Kaya!
Esther Wilson let me know that Ernest Chapman got married at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls. Among the attendees were Cyrus, Grace, Esther, Ann and Butch. All our best wishes and lots of happiness to the newlyweds!

Sixteen people attended services at the East Bethel Church on Sept. 19, with Ben Conant leading the services.
Alder River Grange had a regular meetng on Sept. 10 where it was voted on to have a turkey supper on Nov. 6. This supper will be free to any veteran.
