Blanco reading, reception Friday
A Bethel community celebration in honor of Inaugural Poet and Bethel resident Richard Blanco will be held Friday beginning at 6 p.m. with a free reading at the Bingham Auditorium, 45 Church St., Gould Academy.
A public “meet & greet” reception will follow at the Bethel Inn Conference Center at 7 p.m., featuring a birthday celebration for Blanco with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, according to organizers
Seating for the reading is limited. Free tickets are limited to four per person and can be obtained at the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce, the Bethel Town Office, Pok Sun Emporium, We’ve Got The Look Salon, Good Food Store, Gould Academy Book Store and Brooks Bros Hardware.
Last-minute tickets will be available at the Bethel Town Office from 4 to 5 p.m. If any tickets remain, they will be available on a first-come first-served basis at the reading. Admission is not guaranteed.
