Control of others not the way to govern
Christians have sat on the side lines of the political game too long. We've been pushed around and nearly eliminated from the game altogether. It is time to get out and vote and do everything we can, legally, to regain the country that was once known around the world as a Christian Nation.
How do we do that? Well, one thing we do not do is gain control of the Congress and start writing laws that will make it hard for the nonbelievers among the population to interject their views and ideas. That's what they have been doing to the Christian, making it a "hate" crime for the pastors to preach from the Holy Bible. Control of others is not the way to govern.
What the Christian should be doing is what Christ commanded: "go into all the world and teach as I have taught you." We need to be living our Christian faith and sharing it with everyone we meet. Telling others what Jesus has done for us and that He loves them as much as He does us and wants that no one should perish. Then we need to work hard to get God and prayer back into our schools and all public places as our founding fathers intended for Him to be. Creation needs to be taught in our classrooms once again. It is a more viable theory than evolution, takes fewer assumptions. I can't believe that anyone can study the human body and come to any other conclusion than a superior designer was at work.
Most people coming to this country as immigrants know that this is a Christian nation. They also know that they are welcome and free to practice their own religion. That does not mean that we should abandon ours nor do they (the immigrants) expect us to. Atheists among us are free to remain nonbelievers, no one is forcing them to believe. However, the United States was founded on Judeo Christian values and that not by accident, but through much thought and prayer by our founding fathers.
