Halloween safety tips
Please remember some age old safety tips for your children who will be Trick or Treating on Halloween.
--Let your children know not to cut through back alleys and fields. Make sure they know to stay in populated areas and not to go off the beaten track. Let them know to stay in well-lighted areas with lots of people around. Let them know that they should stay together as a group if going out to Trick or Treat without an adult.
--Be careful when you cross a street. Make sure to look in both directions and make sure that there are no cars coming. If you have a little brother or sister with you, take their hand and help them get across the street, too. Look both ways.
--Pedestrians in a cross walk have the right of way everyday, all year round.
--If your child is wearing a mask, make sure that the eye holes are big enough to see not only in front but peripherally as well. You may have to cut them open further yourself.
--Make sure your child carries a flashlight, glow stick or has reflective tape on their costume to make them more visible to cars.
--Make Homeslice Pizza your first Trick or Treating stop!
To show our dedication to the safety of children in Bethel, we will be offering safety glow sticks at no cost to the first 100 kids who stop by 177 Main Street on Halloween!
