Hello Andover friends,lots of goings on at the Andover First Congregational Church in the next couple of weeks. On Tuesday, Nov. 2, there will be a Hunter's/Election Day supper -- an old-fashioned country event held for the tenth year! First seating is 5 p.m. Menu: baked beans, hot dogs, casseroles, coleslaw, rolls, beverages and dessert (apple crisp and bread pudding) Cost: $7. The supper is not restricted to hunters only, but be sure to wear something Hunter Orange for a chance at the door prize! (Rumor has it Shirley Gammon made something quilt-like ... )
On Sunday, Oct. 24 - Tres Dias Sunday. The Worship service will be led by guest "minister" Linda Couture.
With the first frost out of the way, my thoughts are turning to wreaths. For those of you who are already thinking the same, you can call me anytime to put your order in.(392-2941). Just leave a message if I'm not available, I'll return your call. This year I have my sister-in-law, Sue, "The Queen" of all crafts helping me -- should be fun! You may leave a message with her also.
The Rivals' DVD on sale now friends of Falcon Football, by invitation of Lonewolf Productions, creator of The Rivals, a DVD documentary follows the Mountain Valley and Cape Elizabeth High School football teams throughout the 2006 season, is currently selling copies of this movie in DVD format for $20, with 50 percent of the proceeds being donated to the football team for spaghetti dinners and post-season recognition. This is anticipated to be a limited time offer for the team and ends Oct. 29. Preorders may be placed with cash or checks made payable to Pam Kaubris and may be given to FFF members Pam Kaubris, Sue Mills, Carline Nicols, Pam Nicols, April Richard, Terry Provencher, Gloria Morton, or Lori Roberts on or before Oct. 29. Copies of the DVD will also be available at the Cape vs. Mountain Valley home game at the Chet Bulger Field on Oct. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. FMI you may call 357-3270.
