Whitman Memorial Library November program will be held on Nov. 4 instead of the second Thursday as usual. Please note change of date. Laurie Winsor with Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will be guest speaker. November is National Home Care & Hospice month. This is open to the public, free, all welcome, light refreshments. Date again - Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
The Woodstock-Greenwood Citizens will meet on Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Locke Mills Church for a meeting, lunch and silent auction. Meeting starts at 11:30, new members always welcome. Please bring an item for the silent auction.
Franklin Grange #124 met at the hall on Monday, Oct. 18 for a regular meeting. Remember the Mock Hee Haw Show on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Next meeting will be Monday, Nov. 1st.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday school at 9:15; morning worship at 10:30, evening service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 6:30 is prayer meeting.
The Historical Society will hold their meeting in November at the Town Conference Room. Curator Larry Billings has given the Society a framed celebrity picture. The museum has a few pictures of Hollywood stars on the back of the big double doors up front. Woodstock citizens past and present appear in photos all around the building. They are the heart and soul of the community. Buildings long gone in Woodstock share the limelight. The library is also full of pictorials from many Maine towns. People enjoy leafing through them.
