East Bethel
Another week has come and gone, bringing us one more week closer to spring!! The latest snowstorm has many of us in the neighborhood complaining about the plowing or lack of on our roads. Maybe we need to get a petition going? Like they say, only the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Paul and Kathy Hebert spent the weekend in Portland in celebration of becoming a couple 35 years ago, on Feb. 23, 1978. Congratulations and what a nice idea to celebrate this special day, also.
Mark your calendars: On March (there will be a Benefit Dinner/Supper for Wayne Hakala, who is fighting cancer, at the American Legion Hall in Greenwood. I will update next week with more details.
Please, do call me at 824-3220 or e-mail han@megalink.net. I always enjoy hearing from readers.
This week it is time for a new Trivia question: Who, from East Bethel, was elected selectman in the years 1884 through 1886 and where did he live?
Have a great week.
