Good morning to y'all – it’s a beautiful sunny morning with the thermometer reading 58 degrees and the sky is beautiful blue with lots of puffy white clouds. I so love the sky and all its cloud patterns.
The band is playing at the American Legion in Rumford today for the Widow and Widowers group.
Lolalee and the Country Bandits played for the Saint Anne Sodality group in Lewiston Thursday evening. It was a great time and we so enjoyed meeting some of the members and chatting with them afterward.
Condolences to the families of Dennis Sanborn, Todd Tyler, and Pearl Chaplin. Love and prayers to each family member on the loss of their loved one.
My bleeding heart plant and miniature rosebush are really making their appearances after the long winter months. I have a new lily to plant as one did not survive the cold winter months.
Got a phone call from our friend, Louise Willey, the first of the week – it was good catching up on all the events. Louise, I love you – looking forward to seeing you real soon.

As I sit here writing my column I have noticed that the wind is beginning to pick up. That just means that the wind will dry out the ground again, and we so need the water in the ground for wells and to help the gardeners and to keep all those forest fires under control.
My daily prayers are for a two-day ground-soaking rain, and soon.
A small redheaded woodpecker is making its way to the feeders about every day. I could hear him off in a distance, but he finally found his way to the front yard with the other birds.
