Brrr, this much-needed rain also brought cool temperatures. I do hope that despite the rain, all the Moms had a great Mother's Day.
Neil Olsen's team is doing very well. Currently they are 7 and 2, 7 wins. Go Black Flies!!! His grandson, Connor Aube, is a freshman playing on the Falmouth Varsity Baseball team and doing quite well. His wife, Lind, is in Connecticut visiting her 98-year-old mother for Mother's Day. Neil himself ended up harvesting 500 beaver for the year. Talk about trapping, he wants Arlene to know that she needs to make sure to have her license in order. Ha-ha-ha! Neil bought a helicopter and hopes that John will let him land it in his field.
One sure sign of spring is Arlene is on the go. She visited Dori Hallman from Thursday ‘til Monday. Ann and Butch Crockett, along with her daughter, Suzi, went to Waterville to visit Ann's Mom for Mother's Day. Ann also had a nice call and e-mail from her son Rick.
Don't forget to call me at 824-3220 or e-mail email@example.com with your news or questions. You can also stop in at the InnSide Shop. I always have paper and pencil ready there, too.
Onto the answer to the Trivia – Leslie Noyes’ home was Ball Bartlett's tavern for many years. It passed on to his son, Merrill, and was a place of outstanding importance in the East Bethel community around 1900.
East Bethel Cemetery Cleanup will be on May 18 with a rain date of May 19. Start time will be 9 a.m.
Have a great week.
