Camp Susan Curtis Fundraising Efforts
To the Editor:
I am happy to announce that I will be running in the Beach to Beacon 10k again this summer to fundraise for a very special cause that is dear to my heart, Camp Susan Curtis!
Camp Susan Curtis is a summer camp in Stoneham that gives economically disadvantaged Maine children the opportunity to have a high-quality camp experience for free. For the last five summers, I have been a counselor at Camp Susan Curtis, and have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of this organization. Although I am not returning to work at Camp Susan Curtis this summer, I look forward to giving back in different ways, including raising as much money as possible over the next few months to help send kids to camp.
This year, I have set a goal to surpass the $500 I raised last year for this organization. It takes $1,200 to send one child to camp for two weeks, and with your help, the camp hopes to send around 500 Maine children to have the experience of a lifetime. I hope you consider supporting this great cause, and remember that every little bit helps!
