Franklin Grange 124 met at the hall on Monday evening, July 15. Delegates to State Grange are Laura Hutchins and Ann Morton. Sep. 2 will be installation of officers with a 6 p.m. supper. July 27, Saturday, will be instruction at Franklin Grange from 2 to 5 with a break for refreshments. Any grange that would like may attend and would be very welcome. Program was presented by Christine. Opening thought: Song, “Side by Side.” This was skit night and five skits were presented. Three skits were presented, then a song, “It is great to be a granger;” music by Richard and Laura. Next regular meeting is Aug. 5.
The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet on Thursday, Aug. 1 at Norma Davis’ home. This is a picnic. Please bring a dish to share.
On Saturday, July 13, the Baptist Church was invited to a picnic in Yarmouth on the ocean. Over 20 went. It was a lovely day. The weather wasn’t quite as hot and the children enjoyed the water. A good time was had by all.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is Mid-Week Service. Some things coming up in Aug. – Missions Conference, Aug. 9 to 11; Saturday, Aug. 17, Church picnic at noon; Sunday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. we will be hosting missionary Scott Brackett. He will tell of work in Argentina.
