Well we made it. Ten years and counting. Saturday a friend took us to a lobster feed and Sunday we worked together as we have for the last 12 years. Then we had Chinese food and went home and relaxed. We later found out that we were supposed to be at French Road with friends, oh well. Thanks to all who wished us a Happy Anniversary, especially Jewell who sang to us.

A heads up to all who travel Hunt’s Corner Road from Waterford to Albany – you may have noticed that the road is finally repaved, but culverts still have to be put in. Starting Sept. 9 and lasting to Sept. 30, the road will be closed to through traffic. That means we will have to travel a different way from Waterford, through Albany to Bethel. The new culverts should be worth the inconvenience.
Monday, Sept. 9, Socrates Café will meet at Waterford Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It was changed because the first Monday was Labor Day.
All my best goes out to the Gabrielsens who lost their house to fire on Wednesday, Aug. 29. They lived in the historic Jonathan Swift House.
That will be all for this week. Hope all had a great Labor Day. To put in information, please call 739-9115.
