The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet today (Sept. 5) at the Masonic Hall. Lunch will be served after the meeting by the Star Birthday Club, followed by a program by Hugh “Cubby” Swan. Meeting starts at 11:30.
The Whitman Memorial Library program will be Thursday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 3 p.m. Guest speaker is Lissa Merrill, the director of physical therapy at Stephens Memorial Hospital. Lissa will be presenting information on how to keep your balance and what the local community offers for programs. She will talk about a program well-known nationally, “Matter of Balance,” as well as a program offered at no charge called “Staying on Your Feet.” The local hospital offers a variety of programs for the public and one is for exercising called “Staying Fit.” Lissa’s program is aimed at those 60 and over, but all are welcome. There is no charge and light refreshments will be served.
Judith Grover Tent 17 DUVCW will be meeting on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Grange Hall for a regular meeting and to make final plans for Dept. President Elsie Bonney’s reception on Sept. 21.
The Woodstock Historical Society will meet on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at the museum. Program is a scavenger hunt at the museum. Light refreshments following the program.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is Mid-Week Service.
