Today dawned questionable, but soon turned into a warm sunny day. Warm for October, that is. It was a day to be outside. We went mining for the day and looked for gems and crystals. It was fun.
I expected that with the leaves disappearing, Lefty and Gertrude were going to have to start rooming together at night. But lack of leaves notwithstanding, Lefty is still roosting in her tree. Gertrude stands right under her. Perhaps she realizes that it is not to see there, but Lefty is not ready to forgo her roost yet. We shall see. We may have to shake her down, soon.
