Franklin Grange 124 met on Saturday, Nov. 20, for a regular meeting and Thanksgiving program. Anna Swan was made an honorary member. Some reports on repairs were made. Discussion was held on putting in a bathroom downstairs. anyone wishing to help with this project, either to help build it or money toward it, would be much welcome. A potluck dinner was held following the meeting. Next meeting is Dec. 4 for a Christmas program and potluck dinner.
Charlene Hoyt was guest of honor at a surprise birthday party at her home Saturday, Nov. 20. Around 35 attended; a good time was had by all.
Services at the Baptist church are Sunday school at 9:15, morning worship at 10:30, evening service at 6. Wednesday evening is prayer meeting at 6:30. Saturday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. is Church Decorating for Christmas; Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7 a.m. Men's Breakfast at Calvary bible church, Andover. Sunday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m. is the Church Christmas program.
Dec. 2 (today) the Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet at the Legion Hall in Locke Mills. Dinner will be served by the Legion Auxiliary and program is Forestdale children with their music program. This starts at 11:30 meeting.
The Whitman Memorial Library will hold their December program on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 1:30 p.m. with the Woodstock Elementary School chorus under the direction of Linda Stowell, and a Christmas sing-a-long with Susan Glines. Come and join them, all welcome, no charge and light refreshments. Please not earlier time of 1:30 instead of 2 p.m.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. We did -- Ken and I joined my sister and husband, John and Leatrice Chase and family and most of my family at John and Leatrice's home in Locke Mills. I think there were 28 present. A delicious meal and a good was had by all.
The Historical Society will meet on Dec. 4 at the Market Square Health Care for a potluck supper and meeting. his is the Christmas party with exchange of gifts.
The Museum is closed for the winter; be sure to visit next summer. They have Maine mineral specimens and books about minerals including Jane Perham's works on the subject. This is an area rich in such minerals, so they need some exhibits on the subject.
