Christmas is approaching fast and most are busy shopping, decorating, and wrapping presents. In Germany most do not put up their tree till Christmas eve as part of the tradition is to have an Advent wreath to celebrate the four Sundays before Christmas.

Nancy Haines and son Joseph of Greenwood, and Harvey Small of Greenwood, Peter Haines, Nancy Mercer, James Haines of Gray and his partner Darren were all there and enjoyed a delicious dinner together.
Aline had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with her children and their spouses, Jennifer and Lee Norris, Ryan Stowell, Jarrod and Paige Crockett. Heidi Holt was their special guest. What a wonderful young lady!
Aline Dupont and Gerard Dupont (Jarrod's mother and grandfather) went to his swearing-in ceremony at the House of Representative in Augusta on Dec. 1.They both are very proud to have been there to witness this ceremony.
The Alder River Grange will meet on Dec. 10 at the home of Bert and Ruby Bryant in Norway, on 7 Bolster Street which is off Beal Street. Everyone going will meet at the Locke Mills Church parking lot at 4:45 p.m. and all will go down together. There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7.
