Wreaths Across America Thank You
To the citizens of Bethel and surrounding area who participated in the Wreaths Across America event this past weekend, it was a huge success. It has me being a proud citizen to be part of it. We sold 150 wreaths and the Riverside Cemetery looks great.
I would like to give a big thank you to Commander Robert McCartney and the American Legion for placing the wreaths at the Civil War Monument and making sure the ceremony went so smoothly. I would also like to thank Emily Bellinger from Telstar High School for singing the National Anthem.
Special thanks to Western Maine Supply for accepting delivery of the wreaths, storing them, and delivering them in the cemetery where the Boy Scouts placed them at the veterans grave sites. Thank you Boy Scouts for your hard work.
Thanks to Becky Kendall for helping to get the word out, and last but not least, a very special thanks to my daughter, Kate Saunders, for making it all happen. I could not have done it without you.
From the heart,
Sm Craig Davis, Civil Air Patrol
