Keep the Woodstock Elementary School Open
People of Woodstock, don't forget the Town Meeting to discuss and vote on the need to keep the Woodstock Elementary School open.
The teachers at the school, working with a class average size of about 13 students, have managed a great track record on their student test scores! Perhaps higher than any other school in the district! These teachers have certainly proven that they are exemplary in their devotion to the students and the school!
Young children (75) would be subjected to a bus ride to and from Cresent Park School, approximately three times longer than the one they now have. At least an hour, or more, for certain residents, each way.
Cresent Park may very well have to get rid of their music and lab rooms just to accommodate the extra 75 students. Is this fair?
Class sizes at Cresent would certainly be increased as the additional 75 from Woodstock, as well as perhaps 25 or more from Andover join the ranks.
Please join us in voting on Jan. 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodstock school for this incredibly important meeting. Help keep our children in the "great group".
