Somehow my columns are not making it into print; must be too long, too late or too boring. In any case, what I started with last week was in rereading my last column it appears I misspoke. I am not the oldest columnist, I am the longest running columnist, at this time. That does not mean that I am the best, just that I've hung in there. I do enjoy some of the newer writers and am glad to see new ones that emerge from time to time. It keeps things fresh and interesting. That having been said, I hope to get this year off to new and better heights. To that end, I ask that all who have something they would like to see in this column please call me at 739-9115. I do not check my e-mail often enough for that to be a good option.
Boy hasn’t it been some cold! This morning at our house it showed 15 below. I know I’ve seen colder, but not for a while. Tasha went out for less than 10 minutes. Later when it warmed up to about 10, we went for a 2-minute walk. Brrr!
I think it’s nice that the Matterhorn is having a scholarship Pizza Party on my birthday in memory of my former neighbor, the other Rocky, Rocky Freda. I have to find out if they make a gluten free pizza. In nay case it is Feb. 2 at the Matterhorn from 6 to 9. The event is being planned by the Bethel Rotary. FMI call 824-2175 ext 362. It is for their scholarship fund.

Monday, the 31st, the Knitting Group should be meeting at the Waterford Library at 2 p.m. They meet the third Monday, and in this case the fifth Monday. All are welcome from beginners to experts.
