MAURICE F. HART, SR.

Maurice F. Hart, Sr., 60, of Bethel passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Market Square Health Care Center, South Paris.

He was born in Bethel on Sept. 24, 1950 the son of Harley W. and Virginia Cole Hart. He graduated from Woodstock High School and had been employed at SAD 44 as a bus driver and mechanic for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. He married Yvonne Leonard on Aug. 29, 1969.

He was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing. He loved all the wonderful family cookouts and holidays, playing spiderman with his grandson Dakota, playing cards and games with his grandson Lucas, watching TV with his granddaughter Lexie and sharing hunting stories with his granddaughters, Ashley and Nichole. He also enjoyed weekend dances with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of Bethel; son, Maurice Hart, Jr.; daughter, Brenda Hart; son, Tony Hart and his wife Jennifer; son, Tracy Hart; son, Mark McPherson and his wife Courtney; grandchildren, Ashley, Nichole, Lucas, Dakota, Tanner, Lexie-Ann, Emma, Allen, Andrew and Leo III; great-grandson, Aiden; his siblings, Earl and Pat Hart, Hazel and Roger Paine, Ruby Coolidge, Frank Hart, Pauline Mills, Susie and Bud Buckman and Lois and Buster Chase; cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Nelson, Virginia, Harland and Howard.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Alliance Church. Family and friends may attend visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenleaf Funeral Home, 37 Vernon Street, Bethel.
