Looking Ahead to Winter 2012
The Bethel Area Chamber is notorious for creating spectacular projects that have brought our community a great deal of positive media attention. Most people do not realize the amount of time and effort that is required in the planning of these projects - and we have found that starting the planning early is essential to their success.
We have enjoyed consistent support from a small core group of volunteers – led by Jim Sysko, and we would like to cast a wider net to others who may want to participate in a brainstorming session for “Bethel’s Next Big Winter Project.” All are invited to attend a short 90-minute meeting for this purpose on Tuesday, March 29, from 5 to 6:30 at the Funky Red Barn. Light refreshments will be available.
The chamber wishes to thank Jim Sysko and crew for their tireless efforts on the Ice Tower this year. The positive marketing value of this project in ad equivalency was tremendous, including three hours of live coverage by WMTW-TV! We also had the opportunity to showcase the community’s partnership with Mt. Abram Resort, as they celebrated their 50th Anniversary.
Additional thanks are extended to our WinterFest Title Sponsor, Norway Savings Bank, who continues to support our projects and believes that what the chamber does is important to both business prosperity and community life.
So, whether you have participated on any of the chamber’s committees in the past or not, we welcome your creativity and positive energy in the future. Please attend our meeting on March 29.
