The Upton Ladies Aid Association will host the Upton Community Christmas Party, Saturday, Dec. 1, in the school building. The party will begin at 6 p.m.

The State Line Snowmobile Club is scheduled to meet Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. in the Upton House.

The Selectmen will meet Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the town office.

I have been informed that I owe an apology to the Upton House cat.

It seems that she is overweight and took offense to my comments about her sitting under the bird feeder and waiting for a meal to drop in.

After learning of what I wrote about her, she hid in the barn for four days. When she finally came out, she would not look her owners in the eyes for three more days. Penny has been searching on the Internet for a cat psychologist.
