It is Earth Day, a good day to get out and plant and clean up the gardens. It is also time to think about re-cycling and composting all of our leftover food items. Not a bad time to start thinking about buying local either. We are blessed with many farms and gardens locally and although it might seem a bit more pricey, when you consider the cost of gasoline, it is really a savings. Think about it!
Went to knitting Monday at the Waterford Library. It was fun and I might even relearn how to knit. So far, I am just doing practice, but next time I need to start a project. The needles I was going to use, the new ones, broke. So much for plastic needles. A little repair and I will be all set.
Lake House recently hosted a group from Progress Center. They did crafts and cooking projects. Thanks Lake House.
Glad to hear the lawsuit was dropped against NPSW. It was silly and a waste of taxpayers’ money. Glad to see they are back on track.
Still no word on our house loan. Every day we hope to hear. Maybe by the time you read this, we will have good news. Ask us.
ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families) is now meeting on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Waterford Library. Interested people can call 739-9115, or just show up.
That is all for this week. Enjoy Earth Day and do your part to preserve Mother Earth.
