Mary Beth Rautio
Mary Beth Rautio, 60, of Nottingham, N.H. passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. After six and one-half years, Glioblastoma Multiforme disease ended Mary Beth's epic journey with family and friends.
Born on July 28, 1953, in Jersey City, N.J., to loving parents, John and Jean Cameron, Mary Beth spent half of her life living and loving in New Jersey. She was full of stories, memories and love for the Jersey Shore. Mary Beth's road then led her to Bethel, Maine, where she built a life for 18 years. She was proprietor of the Cameron House as well as an active member of the Bethel community. Mary Beth's love for others was ever apparent in her volunteerism as a Maine Handicapped Ski instructor, a member of the Bethel Rotary, as well as part of the Bell Choir at the West Parish Congregational Church.
After relocating to Nottingham, N.H. in 2003, Mary Beth again became widely loved by others in her community. Her love for the outdoors was always apparent as you would see her walking, skiing, kayaking, golfing and spending time on the coast. Mary Beth found yoga and was working towards becoming an instructor prior to her illness. Yoga, and the many friends she shared this passion with, became some her greatest joys.
Mary Beth is survived by her loving husband Wayne; two daughters: Lisa Bayerlein Wetzel and her husband Ken, Sherri Grisack and her husband Scott; three adoring grandchildren: Hannah, William, Andrew; seven siblings: Jean (John) Hanusek, Carol (Kyle) Conselyea, Gail (Tom) Murphy, Dorothy (Doon) Chin, Lorraine (Bob) Cole, James Cameron, John (Eileen) Cameron, and numerous, loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Marybeth enjoyed life. She embraced the life she was given and opened her heart to welcome in all who she was blessed to cross paths with. Mary Beth was a true angel.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mary Beth's memory to the Brain Tumor Society at www.braintumor.org/giving.
