Benjamin Gordon

Benjamin Gordon, 83, died on May 6, 2010. After a long series of illnesses and ailments he passed peacefully. He had been a resident for the last two years at Sunrise Senior Living in Fleetwood, N.Y.

Since 1969 he had made Bethel his second home spending his summers at his cabin high above the North Bethel road.

He spent the first half of his working life in music as both a musical conductor and bandleader. The second half was spent in the family bakery business with his brother, Charles, who predeceased him two years ago.

Ben was beloved by all who knew him, and was generous of both heart and spirit.

He is survived by his brother, Michael, who was with him when he passed.
