Albany

Hello from Albany! It seems to me that it is always Sunday and I am searching my brain for news. A very few of my neighbors have news to share these days. Well, I seem to manage to have some excitement in my life now an then.

This weekend was a sleepover with my granddaughter, Isabella Bennett, at Nana's house. She and her American Girl dolls arrived in style on Saturday and we enjoyed hours of coloring, puzzles, watching T.V. and of course eating. Sunday morning we joined Doug and Jen at Melbys for breakfast and were joined by Fred Enman as he enjoyed a cup of tea. Always nice to visit with old friends. Speaking of old friends, I went into Market Square Restaurant on Thursday night for a bite to eat and met up with my dear friends Peter and Linda Kuzyk. We had a great visit.

Margaret and Franklin Barton went to a family gathering in Brownfield one day last week. They also joined Jeff and Sue Barton for dinner in North Norway Saturday evening.

I was talking with Karla Antell at school one day last week and she told me that she and her dog had gone on a walk up the Crocker Pond Road last weekend. Suddenly the dog started to bark and look into the woods. There was a fairly good sized bear scurrying up a knoll. Luckily he was headed in the other direction. I guess he thought spring had come! Karla and the dog turned around and headed home.

Remember to support your local sports team. Basketball games, ski meets and soon it will be time for baseball. Suddenly I realize February is right around the corner. Have a great week everyone! Remember, it is the little things in life that count.
