On Thursday I had the honor and privilege of conducting the opening prayer at the Special Session of the Maine State House of Representatives. While there I had the pleasure of having conversations with Representatives Jarrod Crockett, Matthew Peterson and Sheryl Briggs.
Don't forget the FREE LUNCH on Tuesday, Sept. 10 sponsored by the People in Action Committee. Bud Perry will be serving up scalloped potatoes with ham, coleslaw, rolls and assorted desserts.
The Andover Historical Society in planning an open house for the third week in September. I do not have the exact date at this moment but will give you full details next week. The theme is farming and farm implements and memorabilia. If you have items to share, please bring them. For further information call Trudy Akers at 392-3157.
The Andover Public Library is sponsoring a presentation by Sarah Wright about our neighbors in the woods, Black bears, on Sept. 21 at 5 p.m.
