Hello Andover friends. Hunting season is in full swing -- although I'm not a hunter -- all I've really seen out there are turkeys! Oh, and a dead partridge in Grimaldi Field that the dogs got into while we were walking -- blahh!
There will be a Flu Clinic this Friday, tomorrow, Nov. 12 at the Andover Town Hall. It will be from 1:30 until 4 p.m. It is a combined vaccination for seasonal flu and H1N1. No fee with Medicare and Maine Care cards -- be sure to bring your card with you. Any questions call Karen Swan.
There will be a Christmas Craft Fair at the First Congregational Church on Dec. 11.
The winner of the quilt on Tuesday at the Hunters' Supper was Lauren Sterling, granddaughter of Richard and Carolyn Merrill.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Howard Spidell, who passed away on Oct. 19 at his home in Andover. Survivors include his daughters, Judy Allespach and husband Geoffrey of Florida, Sandra Gurney and husband Rob of California; a son, Michael and wife Mary of California; sister, Shirley of Oklahoma; brother, Robert and wife Janet of California; and grandchildren. Graveside services were held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover.
Celebrating a birthday this week: Monday, Nov. 15, Ella Marie Akers and Mackenzie Gammon. Belated birthday wishes last week to Jeremy Sterling and Travis Morton, both on Nov. 5.
