This past weekend was just beautiful as far as the weather went. Sunday afternoon turned out to be a little muggy but not completely unbearable.
My brother, Steve McLain, has been taking advantage of the good weather and getting some mowing done. He mows out front of his house near Route 2 so the town sign is visible.
Lise McLain went to the Senior Club lunch at the Mill Hill Inn last Wednesday.
Hugh and I attended a birthday party this past week at Tim and Michele’s for one of the grandchildren, Ajay Landry. We also celebrated Michele’s mother’s birthday at the same time. Those attending were Leo and Ann Croteau, Tim and Michele, William, Annie and Sidney Chapman and Ann’s brother, Tom.
Last Saturday, Hugh and I headed for the Oxford County Gem and Mineral Show in Bethel. We had a chance to visit with some of the dealers that were there when Hugh was the Show Chairman. When the show closed, we went out to dinner with Bob and Judy Bishop at Rooster’s Roadhouse. They had spent the day working at the registration table at the Gem Show.

We set up for the “Cold Bottled Water Project” this past Saturday. Mary Tyler was there, also. She was working on some genealogy while we sat in the shade under the tent. We had a group of bicyclers who stopped by to chat and check out the buildings. They needed some water since they had just biked up Route 113 and back.
