Christmas will be here this weekend. Merry Christmas to all!
The Rec Committee was all set to hold the 2nd Annual Christmas in Gilead Pot Luck Supper at Bog Brook Training Facility when a problem arose. They had to change from Bog Brook to the Town Hall. The fire was started to warm up the hall and the people began to arrive for a fun evening. There were about 30 people who attended, including children. Santa arrived before the evening was over.
My brother, Steve McLain, decided to decorate a tree in his front yard. We noticed that the lights looked very pretty when we came home Sunday evening.
Lise McLain was at Ledgeview this past week visiting her father, Gerard Dupont.
Hugh and I spent last Saturday in Gorham with two of the grandchildren, Ajay and Sidney. We worked on making Christmas cards and decorations.
Hugh and I decided that we needed to finish up our Christmas shopping, so last Sunday we headed out. We went to Norway by way of Bridgton and Waterford. Along the way we stopped to visit with Perry and Happy Chapman in Waterford. We picked up the beautiful quilt that Hugh won recently.
During our travels we ran into a few people that we knew: Arlynn Hale and her daughter, Ginny Walker and Shirley Merrill. Ginny has remarried and I am sorry, but I did not get her married name.
