Hopefully, there will not be any big snow storms this week. The snow banks are high enough now to make it hard to see at some intersections.
We were just saying the other day that we seem to have the same birds at the feeder all the time. There are Chickadees, Titmice, Red-breasted Nuthatches, White-breasted Nuthatches, Redpolls, Blue Jays, Mourning Doves and Sparrows. The last couple of days there was a Mrs. Hairy Woodpecker. She seemed to like the homemade bird patty that we put out.
My brother, Steve McLain, stopped by the house last Saturday. He had his little black dog, Laney, with him. Laney was looking for the squirrels that hang out on the porch railing eating birdseed. She likes to chase them across the driveway and up the tree.
Steve and Lise McLain attended the Chocolate Festival last Sunday at the Bethel Inn Conference Center. It was a fundraiser for the Telstar Class of 2012.
Lise McLain attended the Wine Tasting event that was held at Mill Hill Inn last Tuesday. This event was sponsored by the Western Mountains Senior College.
Hugh and I stopped by Tim and Michele’s last Sunday for a little visit before heading for Wal-Mart. Our granddaughter, Sidney, had been skating earlier in the day and wanted to show us her hockey stick and tell us about her practice.
