It is the season for politicians. I really do not enjoy the visits and phone calls that happen before an election. I keep away from politics as much as possible. Although, I did enjoy a recent visit from Representative Jarrod Crockett (even though he is a Republican!), who is running again for District 91.
My brother, Steve McLain, dropped off a couple of pumpkins that he grew in his garden. He knew that Sidney was going to be around and would enjoy them.
Lise McLain went to Ledgeview to visit her father, Gerard Dupont.
Aline Dupont took her father, Gerard Dupont, out for dinner recently at Crosstones Restaurant in West Paris.
Our granddaughter, Sidney Chapman, spent last weekend with us. She had a birthday party to attend in Gorham on Saturday afternoon. We spent Sunday carving the pumpkins that Uncle Mac left. She took one home and left the other one for us to enjoy. In the afternoon Sunday, we went to the Peabody Cemetery again to take a picture of a stone for the woman that is doing the Coffin genealogy.
Caro Poirier, MMSW, LCSW, Certified Shamanic Practitioner, Full Mesa Carrier, is offering a community ceremony to honor the deceased, Aya Despacho. This will be held at the Lary Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 30, at noon. For more information call 836-2127.
