She’s done it again! For the 5th consecutive year, Tracey Moir (a summer resident of Howard Pond) has won the Ladies Club Championship at the Bethel Inn and Country Club. This win probably gives her the record for the most consecutive golf championships for ladies in the history of the Bethel Inn and Country Club. We congratulate Tracey on her win and we certainly take pride that our community is represented so well at one of the finest golf resorts in Maine.

Knights of Pythias news this past weekend was the International Jubilee, also known as Hands Across the Border that took place in Calais, Maine and St. Stephen New Brunswick. During the event the American Pythians marched across the St. Croix River Bridge to the international boundary at the center to meet the Canadian Pythians who marched out the meet them. After exchanging plaques and handshakes everyone turned about and rushed off the bridge to avoid being run over by the border crossing traffic. Great fun! Attending from this area were Grand Chancellor Michael Bennett, Danny and Janice Bennett, Donna and Clem Worcester and Past Grand Chancellor Freeman Farrington who served as a flag bearer at most of the events.
There was a huge birthday party last Saturday for Keith, Victoria and Kory Crockett. Their birthdays fall within just a few days of each other. The event included a canoe trip on the Androscoggin River and other birthday party events.
