Hi, hi, hello, hello and Happy Holidays too! Have you gotten all of your Christmas shopping done yet? I hope so, time is slowly ticking away, it's nearly here. I am ready for it this year, recession or not. It's the joy and the excitement of spending time with my family that has me so excited. I have to admit that I did start out a bit Grinchy but soon shaved off the green and donned a new attitude, one of giving, not receiving. I want to give my children not material things but memories, and good ones too! One of my main objectives is to do at least one of the things that we "plan to do" but usually never do -- and the winner is Gingerbread houses, or maybe frosting cookies for Santa. OK so this is obviously a challenge for me but only time will tell.
On Sunday we loaded up the truck with kids and the car with children and headed to Bethel for the Living Nativity. Kaiya was an angel, I was a shepherd and Praedin and Kessie were sheep, at least that's what they were commonly mistaken for, rather than goats. The weather was very welcoming this year versus last year with the rain and wet. Afterward all children were invited to the Nazarene Church for cocoa and to decorate cookies. I wish to extend a big "Thank you!" to the Church and everyone who helped out. They really went all out baking cookies in preparation for the evening and they were rather yummy, too! I've always wanted do "something" after the Nativity, to sort of wrap up the evening, so cocoa and cookies were a welcomed event. Blessings to you and yours this Holiday Season!
