Jim and Wilma Rector spent a pleasant, relaxing vacation last week visiting Jim's three brothers in Oregon. They missed the first dusting of snow in Upton.
Leslie Aron will be cooking breakfast Sunday morning at the Ladies Aid Building from 8 to 11 a.m. and Krys Bernier will be serving. Hmmm, wonder what Leslie will be making for a "special."
The Hunters' breakfast, which of course is for everyone, not just the hunters, will be Nov. 6. It'll be buffet style and will include a huge array of homemade breakfast foods.
The Telstar Alumni Association's auction on Saturday was very successful -- they appreciated the donations.
The Western Mountains Senior College will be holding a program on family caregiving on Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bethel Congregational Church on Church Street. Laurie Winsor, marketing director for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will be on hand to discuss the topic. There is no admission charge and light refreshments will be served.
