This is the full buck moon. The tides may be up, the temperatures may be down. That may mean a needed break from the heat. I can live with that. This has been a long week of too much heat and too little relief. This past weekend I went to the memorial for Sammie Chapman. It was heartwarming and sad at the same time. There were many people there, all to pay tribute to a beloved friend, father, fiancé, etc. I had to leave early to pick up David, but I was glad I made it for a while.
The blueberries are up and friend Gloria and I have been hitting the pipeline picking early in the morning. Today we left at 6 a.m. and picked for one and a half hours before I had to go elsewhere. More another day. The raspberries are in, too, but the black raspberries are a week or two behind them. More picking.

Soon it will be August and the dog days will be upon us, although I think they have already been here. Getting up early makes it bearable to get things done before the heat hits. Have been driving our truck because the Rav4 has no air-conditioning and I need it to breathe when the heat hits.
That is all for this week. Please let me know if you have anything you’d like to be put in here. Call me at 739-9115. Stay cool and have a great week.
